Sometimes, after typing text in a Word document, you realize that you need to display the data in a table format. You can convert the test to a table by following these steps:

Insert separator characters – such as commas or tabs – to indicate where you want to divide the text into columns. Use paragraph marks to indicate where you want to begin a new row. For example, in a list with two words on a line, insert a comma or a tab after the first word to create a two-column table.

Select the text that you want to convert.

On the Table menu, click on Convert, and then click Text to Table.

In the Convert Text to Table dialog box (see below), under Separate text at, click the option for the separator character that is in your text.

In the Number of columns box, check the number of columns.

If you don’t see the number of columns that you expect, you may be missing a separator character in one or more lines of text.

Select any other options that you want.

Then all you need to do is go down to Line Spacing and make it Double, right?

But instead you might want to try this nifty little trick. Select all the text you want to double-space (Ctrl+A for the whole document) and then all you need to do is hit Ctrl+2 – and voila, your text is now double-spaced. Change your mind? Not a problem – just select the text again and hit Ctrl+1 and you are back to single spacing.
