I have two computers running Vista so I decided to patch one of them to see if there was an difference in performance and reliability.  I have seen several articles, good and bad, about the services pack.  I figure it would be best to see for myself.  Hopefully this will be helpful to all of you that are thinking about installing MS latest SP release.

I installed the service pack on my Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop.  Its a machine that was labeled “Windows Vista Capable”.  I would agree with that for the most part.  I originally did an upgrade from XP Pro to Vista Business.  That failed miserably so I backed up my data and did a complete “fresh” install.

It’s only been an hour since the install.  I have nothing to report….so far.
