Apple released iOS 4.3.3 on Wednesday, but as it did with 4.3.2, neglected to patch the untethered jailbreak exploit in redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 (since updated to rc15). Looks like that’s a hat trick for the iPhone Dev Team. The hack works with most devices (even the Apple TV), but there’s still no solution for iPad 2 owners — we’re sure that the underground powers that be are hard at work searching for holes that Apple overlooked. Installation instructions remain unchanged, so if you’ve been eager to get your iPhone tracking fix on without bricking your device, grab the latest IPSW and head over to our source link for the download links.

Hey there, got any Objective-C experience and a desire to help out a budding young company? You’ll wanna hit that source link right quick, as Boxee is presently on the search for a Lead iPad and iPhone App Developer who will be responsible for starting the company’s Mobile Applications team. It’s no secret that Boxee is keen to get its media streaming software out on any and all hardware possible, and iPhone OS presents the company with an ever-expanding audience for its wares. Additional job requirements include a minimum of a year’s professional development experience and that you’ll have previously developed an app for the iPhone, though that last bit’s not exactly a high hurdle to overcome. We like the added note that Android dev experience is “a plus,” which suggests to us that the Mobile Apps team will eventually be spreading its wings beyond Apple’s mobile OS as well.

[Thanks, Abed]

Well, well — what have we here? A little digging into the mainframe that lies beneath Apple’s freshly launched iPad has uncovered a few telltale signs of next-generation hardware, and while this is obviously in no way confirmation that new wares are on the way from Cupertino, this kind of stuff has led to similar reveals in the past. If we’re seeing this right, we’re looking at not one, but two new mentions of future iPhones (iPhone 3,2 and iPhone 3,3), alongside a new iPod touch (iPod 4,1) and… a future iPad (iProd 4,1). ‘Course, none of this gives us any indication of the all-important whos or whens, but at least this confirms that mythical creatures still exist in the hearts of those who believe.

Looks like Zatz got the goods from the folks at Sling, who have a few interesting tidbits currently in the development pipe. Zatz not Funny is reporting that Sling’s Mobile Prouct Marketing Manager, Dave Eyler, has told him that the company is “actively moving towards H.264″ and Silverlight support, as well as delivering streaming with resolutions beyond the current 320×240. Though there are no firm details or timelines yet, this means we should definitely be expecting SlingPlayer Mobile versions for the iPad and Windows Phone 7 Series. While Sling says it won’t have anything ready for the iPad’s launch, we’ve got our fingers crossed that we’ll see it soon.
