This should help you make the decision if you are on the fence about getting one. I was invited to a Kingston Technology event where they asked several IT professionals to replace the drives in their laptops. I personally didn’t expect to see a performance increase. Installation The installation seemed very straight forward. I just needed a screw driver and I was off and running. From start to finish, including imaging of the drives, took 45 min.  If you know where your hard drive is you should be able to accomplish this in the same amount of time. Results Power up to logon screen is now 6 seconds shorter. Logon to working desktop is 50 seconds shorter. I must say I am very pleased with the performance. Below are the user experience bench marks. My previous drive was the weakest link (SATA 3.0Gb/s 7200RPM) coming in at 5.9

With the new SSD, I’m now sitting pretty at 6.8

Not too bad in my opinion.  For $150, you can’t go wrong. wizTEQ
